About Bryan Rich White

My interest in astronomy coincided with the discovery of Comet
Mrkos, which my father and I spotted the night before astronomers
announced their findings to the public. I was 7 years old at the
time, living on an 80-acre farm in Michigan, where the heavens were
unblemished by suburban light pollution.
After my first comet experience, I remember devouring every “Sky
& Telescope” magazine or astronomy book I could get my hands on. As
I developed my astronomical skills, I began taking pictures of
comets, stars and the aurora borealis (the northern lights).
In this pursuit I've journeyed to the far northern territories of
Canada, to southern Florida and many places in between to
photograph, in three-dimensional glory, the wonders of the night
sky.
I am devoted to sharing my work with all night sky lovers. As
founder of “Nitescapes 3-D,” I currently exhibit my work across
Colorado, as well as working on my "Nitescapes" publishing ventures.
I hope that my work conveys the feeling of wonder that I felt so
many years ago, as a 7-year-old boy looking up at the night sky.
